Sentimentality (Risks and Pleasures) with Mark Doty:
With a focus on poems by Robinson Jeffers, James Wright, James Merrill and Alicia Ostriker that center on dogs, Doty will explore the risks and pleasures of sentimentality with fresh eyes.

News from the Middle Way with Kwame Dawes:
Grounded in a close reading of a passage from T.S. Eliot’s “East Coker”, Dawes ekes out hidden and exposed lessons about the life and practice of poetry and art as a poet might encounter it in the peculiar moment in history that we have come upon.

Q & A will follow the craft talks. Join us to meet the poets and purchase their books at our in-house Festival Bookstore, Murder On The Beach, following this event.
